Our Management Team

Mark C. Edge

Mr. Edge brings over 30 years of industry experience to Ancova, having served in various roles at Texas O&G Corporation, Delhi Gas Pipeline, Finlay Energy, and JMA Energy, plus 15 years at Chesapeake Energy where he most recently held the position of Vice President of Gas Sales and Commercial Services. From his tenure as commercial lead for the second largest producer of natural gas and the most active driller in the U.S., he was at the forefront of the shale revolution that grew CHK’s marketing group into one of the top 10 gas marketers in North America.

Mr. Edge has extensive experience in nearly every major basin in the lower 48. Working for the first mover in most of the major shale plays, he played a critical role as part of the organic buildout of the midstream infrastructure that services takeaway from the most prominent basins. In addition, Mr. Edge has been on deal teams for over $30 billion in midstream and upstream acquisitions and divestitures. Mark has a BS in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma. He is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma, father of four children, and currently resides in Oklahoma City with his wife and youngest daughter.

Max K. Gagliardi

Prior to forming Ancova, Mr. Gagliardi held various commercial and financial roles at Chesapeake Energy, American Energy Partners, and Williams Midstream. While at Chesapeake he managed the commercial development for a 23 rig drilling program in the Anadarko basin, brought to sales hundreds of wells, and coordinated the marketing efforts for 550 Mmcf/d of natural gas and 30,000 Bbls/d of crude oil sales. 

Mr. Gagliardi has participated in various roles on deal teams for over $20 billion in midstream and upstream A&D transactions. With a focus on midstream joint ventures, he has structured and negotiated multiple large-scale midstream infrastructure partnerships while at his previous employers and for his clients at Ancova. Max has a BS and MBA from Oklahoma State University. He is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma and currently lives in Edmond with his wife and three sons.

Jason Fournier

Mr. Fournier has more than 15 years of experience in the midstream sector. Prior to Ancova, Mr. Fournier was Vice President of Engineering for Lucid Energy, where his department was instrumental in the build out of the Lucid II assets in the Delaware Basin. The projects, totaling approximately $400 million of capital spend, included 600 MM/d in processing capacity, 8 grass roots compressor stations, and hundreds of miles of gas gathering, water gathering, plant residue, and NGL pipelines. 

Prior to Lucid, Mr. Fournier held various positions at Paragon Engineering, Enogex, Chesapeake Energy, Access Midstream, and Williams, where he managed over $1 billion in midstream capital projects. With a focus on engineering, construction, and operations, he has worked in many basins across the U.S., including Midcontinent, Fayetteville, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Marcellus, and Permian. Mr. Fournier has a BS in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.

Dory Douglas

Ms. Douglas is the Director of Gas Marketing overseeing Ancova’s physical gas sales and marketing group. She brings over 18 years of gas marketing experience to Ancova and has extensive relationships within the U.S. gas markets and major downstream pipeline companies. Prior to joining Ancova, Ms. Douglas served as the Director of Gas Marketing for Chesapeake Energy with responsibilities covering the Mid-Continent, Rockies, Barnett, Eagle Ford, Permian, and Haynesville asset areas. She oversaw the largest segment of CHK’s gas portfolio, managing the marketing and sales for over 3Bcf/d of production. Dory has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University.

Michael Matthews

Mr. Matthews brings over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to the company. Prior to joining Ancova, he held various roles at Tapstone Energy, Enable Midstream, Enogex, and Oklahoma Gas & Electric. His diverse experience includes crude and gas marketing, downstream transport deals, contract negotiations, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, cost compliance, and various midstream accounting activities. Michael has a BS in Finance and Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant. A lifelong Oklahoman, he currently resides in Edmond with his wife, son, and daughter.

Mike Wright

Mike has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry having worked across the US in multiple basins leading commercial development, operations, and financial management.  Mike most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer of 4AM Midstream, a private equity backed midstream company. Prior to this, Mike spent multiple years with Chesapeake Energy, Access Midstream Partners, and Williams Companies serving in leading roles through an unprecedented period of growth. During this time, he was responsible for over 100 customers moving product through thousands of meters generating over $1 Billion in annual revenue.

Mike attended Oklahoma City University where he was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business. Mike and his wife currently reside in Edmond, Oklahoma with their daughter and son.

Chris Sorrells

Chris has 20 plus years of experience in the energy space. Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer of 4AM Midstream, a private equity backed midstream company. He previously spent 16 years with Chesapeake Energy, where he was the Assistant Controller responsible for Chesapeake’s marketing and midstream accounting departments. He helped lead and build the organization as Chesapeake grew to become one of the largest independent energy companies in the United States. At one point his team had responsibility for over $1 billion in monthly revenues from nearly every producing basin in the United States.

Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is proud to call Oklahoma City home where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He is active in the community and has a passion for helping businesses and organizations grow.

Taylor Ley

Ms. Ley brings 12 years of experience as an accounting professional to the team. Prior to joining Ancova, she held various positions at Stillwater SNB, Chesapeake Energy, and American Energy Partners. Ms. Ley has extensive operational and corporate oil and gas accounting experience. During her time at CHK and AEP, she managed the revenue, expenses, and corporate accounting for thousands of operated and non-operated wells. Taylor has a BS in finance with a minor in accounting from Oklahoma State University. She currently resides in Oklahoma City with her husband and two children.
